A secure address for the Jellyfin server you already run at home. Watch from your phone, a hotel TV or a friend's place, and share it with family. No port forwarding, no VPN, no router setup.

Add our plugin repository in Jellyfin and install Coursier, like any other plugin.
Register your server in your account and paste the one-time code into the plugin. That's the whole setup.
Your server gets its own address with a real HTTPS certificate. Open it in a browser or in any Jellyfin app.
Your server connects out to us, so it works behind any router, carrier-grade NAT, or a network you don't control. Nothing on your home network is exposed.
Web, phones, TVs and desktop apps sign in with your server's address and the Jellyfin accounts you already have. Jellyfin sees each viewer's real address, so your remote-access rules and logs work as usual.
Your server is matched to the relay closest to it, and moves to another one automatically if a relay has a problem. Relays today: ca-east.
Our relays drop traffic from addresses the CrowdSec community has reported for attacks before it reaches your server, and our hosting provider's always-on anti-DDoS protection absorbs floods. Password guessing is slowed down, and Jellyfin's setup wizard can't be reached from the internet.
Nothing is uploaded or stored. Video streams straight from your server, encrypted, through the relay.
Turn remote access off and on from the plugin page in Jellyfin. Off means off, at once.

No. Only your Jellyfin server is reachable, at its own address. Your viewers install nothing: they open the address and sign in with their Jellyfin account.
It works even when port forwarding is impossible, for example with carrier-grade NAT or a shared network, because your server makes the connection outward.
A Jellyfin server you run yourself (Jellyfin 12 or later) and an internet connection. Streaming quality depends on your upload speed and your plan's bandwidth.
Yes, between your viewers and the relay and between the relay and your server. The relay decrypts traffic in memory only to pass it along; it does not store or inspect it.
Your home network is never exposed: only the relay is reachable from the internet, and it passes on nothing but Jellyfin traffic for your address. Relays block addresses known for attacks (the CrowdSec community blocklist), sit behind our hosting provider's anti-DDoS protection, slow down password guessing and keep Jellyfin's setup wizard out of reach. Because your server sees each viewer's real address, you can also run your own tools at home, such as CrowdSec with its Jellyfin collection or fail2ban. Keep Jellyfin up to date: we email you when a security update matters.
Yes: give them the address and a Jellyfin account on your server. Sharing with the general public or reselling access is not allowed.
In the help center: setup, securing your server, using your own domain and troubleshooting.
No. Coursier is an independent service built for Jellyfin, and is not affiliated with the Jellyfin project.
